From Transform to Activate: 12 Wins That Clarified My Work

January invites clarity.

Not the rushed kind that comes from resolutions, but the steady kind that comes from reflection.

For leaders, speakers, and builders, this kind of clarity changes how everything moves next.

As I begin this blog, I’m carrying forward the lessons of the year behind me – lessons that shaped my voice, my work, and the presence I bring into every room.

As the previous year came to a close, I spent time reflecting.
Not in a highlight-reel way, but in a this actually mattered way.

2025 was a building year. A clarifying year. One that asked for patience, precision, and trust. And when I look back, there’s truly a lot here to honor.

Here are 12 wins from 2025 I’m proud of:

  1. I completed a true identity-level transition—expanding from education consulting into leadership communication strategy while carrying the heart of my work with me.
  2. I clearly named the real problem I solve: the hidden cost of miscommunication: lost profit, lost momentum, and lost talent.
  3. I refined and claimed my proprietary communication frameworks, positioning them as decision-making and revenue tools, not just concepts.
  4. I created the Brain-Friendly Message Score Assessment, giving leaders and speakers a clear way to see where their message breaks down—and how to fix it.
  5. I wrote a 31-day devotional, staying disciplined, consistent, and obedient to the assignment even when it stretched me.
  6. I became a contributing author in a best-selling book, expanding my voice and impact beyond my own platforms.
  7. I hired a TEDx coach and began the intentional work of shaping my TEDx talk—thinking bigger, clearer, and bolder.
  8. I made intentional decisions about what to continue—and what to release—so my energy aligns with the work I’m building next.
  9. I completed my ProCoach certification, sharpening my coaching skills and deepening the transformation I help others achieve.
  10. I hired a virtual assistant, creating space to focus on strategy, message, and leadership instead of doing everything alone.
  11. I chose depth over noise—resisting pressure to rush, and instead building a message that’s sustainable and aligned.
  12. I ended the year with language, structure, and direction I can build on—no longer circling the work, but standing firmly in it.

Through it all, I gained a level of certainty that grounds me. A quiet confidence that doesn’t need proving—and that people often comment on before I ever say a word. It’s clarity that shows up in my presence, wherever I go.

The year reminded me that progress isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like alignment.
Sometimes it looks like discernment.
Sometimes it looks like becoming so clear that you carry it with you.

Clarity changes everything.

If you sense that your message has depth but isn’t consistently activating the people who hear it, clarity may be the missing link.

The Brain-Friendly Message Score Assessment helps you see exactly where your message is breaking down—and what to adjust next

  1. Florence, what a beefy, powerful year you had! Congratulations! I love that you got so clear and even created the Brain-friendly Message Score Assessment. Brilliant! Your item 8 would be universally powerful for business people: “I made intentional decisions about what to continue—and what to release—so my energy aligns with the work I’m building next.” My work is all about energy. I must take your Assessment. Now I will try to share this article to LinkedIn, b/c many need to see it.

    1. Thank you, Kebba. Being intentional and focusing on the person we become makes all the difference in the actions we take to have the things we want.
